Building the temple in Nauvoo, IL during the 1840’s was a difficult and hot task. The story of this painting is of a stone carver who perhaps had the most difficult job on a hot August day with all the dust and heat. The brief water break was welcomed.
The stone he is carving is a Sun Stone which is massive in size with intricate details of a heavenly face carved on the stone.
Dimensions: 32 x 42 in Oil
Nauvoo Water Break is available as a print in the Print Shop.
